Test
Drive for new clients and the just plain curious ...
The test drive is a required step for all new drive clients. It gives you the opportunity to ensure compatibility and functionality of your system and the workflow. (We are not testing your abilities, so please do not get offended by this requirement.) We'll send one of our USB 2.0 mini drives loaded with the NTSC set of 8-bit uncompressed test clips in either QuickTime (Blackmagic codec) for MAC users or AVI (Blackmagic codec) for PC users to try out on your system. The clips are of footage in the public domain and are designed to test functionality. (There is an option to test hi def, if you prefer). Here's how it works:
$15 for the NTSC clip set that includes one clip transferred at 24 frames per second (fps) with 3:2 pulldown and one clip transferred at 30 fps with no 3:2 pulldown. Select the NTSC on the test drive order form.
you are responsible for the drive until it is returned in working order to us. Your credit card is pre-authorized for the replacement value on the drive.
you pay for shipping, $10 handling fee, and insurance both ways
you test drive the 2.0 USB mini drive for 3 days from the time you receive the hard drive
Fill out the the Test Drive Form for HFS (MAC) or Test Drive Form for NTFS (PC).
