BLOOPERS - avoid being featured on this page! We'll be adding more as they come to our door!

noname.jpg (32481 bytes) This box came with no name, no footage, no process directions! Luckily we had the return address label to go on. Please mark each box with your name, phone # or email address, process instructions (normal, push or pull), and footage.
Please don't use excessive tape on your box. You slow the loader down and actually increase the potential for accidents. Remember, we unload in complete darkness.

Recycling is good but if you are reusing a box that has gone through our system, please remove the old label with the old workorder number. Also remove the barcode and shiny twin check number. Put on a new label with the correct stock identified, your name, contact info, footage total and process instructions. This will help avoid the misidentification error shown below!

This film was caught during the inspection phase after loading the film from a batch of boxes. This is color reversal in a black and white reversal box! This client's mistake delayed the run of bw reversal that day because we had to wait to have that roll located and removed (of course in complete darkness).

Don't tape across can along diameter.

Place tape around circumference of can instead.

Don't use electrical tape either.

This tape will pull the labels with it when removed.

Do NOT use tape anywhere on exposed unprocessed film. That means: no tape at the beginning or end of the roll and absolutely no tape to connect or "mend" your film anywhere if it broke in the camera or magazine. If there is no perf damage, we can connect the pieces in the dark and process your film. Tape that is undetected during loading will "wash off" in the chemistry thereby causing a machine break. You will lose your film and the film behind yours will be affected also. You will be held responsible for the lost rolls and will be required to pay a token "clean up" fee of $50.

The client used masking tape to connect two ends of film on the 100' roll. The tape loosened going through the processing machine thereby causing a "machine break." Due to quick thinking and action "only" an additional 100' of another client's footage was lost. It took 5 hours to clean the machine and re-thread the machine. The tape was not detected because the edge cut was very smooth. Film is loaded in complete darkness, therefore, the technician is "feeling" for problems.

All the film in the Super 8 cartridge to the right is still in the unexposed "bottomside" of the cartridge. Once the cartridge is "cracked open," it's too late to use the film. Before sending the film, look to see if the word exposed is visible at the end of your 50'. It's safe to say that the cartridge shown below has been run completely through the camera. sads8.jpg (36917 bytes)
