Students Resources Teachers/Coordinators

Dear Media Faculty and Program Coordinators

We value our relationship with our school clients and look forward to serving you during the academic year 2010-2011

FOR FALL 2010

We all recognize the reduced emphasis on film in media programs. However, even if you are no longer implementing hands-on film courses, you may be interested in incorporating a film unit that gives students a "taste" of the film workflow in the 21st century. As there is increased interest in re-purposing already processed film, you may also encourage your students to integrate archival footage into their projects.

Looking for access to complete archival reels in file format? Check out FilmFileShop.com.

We transfer

We offer 1/4 hour telecine transfers so students with a few hundred feet of 16mm film can have their work transferred at a reasonable rate. Bono's also has a Super 8 & Regular 8mm gate for the Rank. Therefore, transfers in the telecine suite can be performed for Regular 8, Super 8mm, 16mm, Super 16mm and 35mm. Our minimum order is $285.00. We recommend uncompressed transfers direct to drive. Tape formats include mini DV,  DVCam, Digibeta, &  Beta SP for masters.   Please check out our Transfer section for more details.

If your program is going "Hi Def" please visit our technical initiatives website Bonolabs, for our High Definition Services. We transfer R8, Super8, 16mm, Super16 and 35mm hi def direct to hard drives. Clients have a choice of uncompressed 10-bit 1920x1080 MAC or PC compatible files. We've also added DVDPro HD files and HDV files to our tapeless options. We now ftp test clips to professors and students to test out the workflow and to test for system compatibility. So whether students are editing in Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro, we can provide them with files for the 21st century workflow.
