   Highlights on our Services

Archival Transfers from the National Archives and other institutions and from your family's attic
  • Bono's is credentialed  to handle all codes and formats of archival material from the National Archives Records Administration (NARA), the National Library of Medicine, and the Library of Congress.
  • Visit our Archives Section for procedures for ordering material from NARA.
  • Clients may elect either a high definition or standard definition transfer. If "protecting for the future" is of interest, we invite you to explore the benefits of a high definition duplication strategy.
  • Through our visiting archival collections program, we inspect and duplicate materials from national and state government, university and private archival collections. We also perform archival site consultations if you need direct feedback at your facility.
  • Our obsolete video division can handle many of the older video formats including the 1/2-inch open reel, 1-inch, and 3/4-inch. Our 2-inch machine capability is underway.
  • We are also very fond of home movies, whether 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm or 35mm. We treat all vintage film and video with great care. We are currently transferring to a choice of 4 mastering formats or hard drive. We can burn viewing copies to DVD-R.
  • Jobs are taken in the order of in-take. The typical turnaround time is 7-10 days depending on the complexity of the project. We often "beat" the clock but there are no guarantees and we do not offer "rush service."
  • NOTE: order minimum is $225.00.
High Definition: Technical Initiatives Division - opened in 2002, our staff is working to provide new solutions in the moving image technologies.
  • For high definition telecine transfers to tape and hard drive, visit our technical initiatives site, bonolabs.com.
  • Hi Def Telecine transfer options include: to HD D5 and DVCPro HD tape and 10-bit uncompressed files and compressed DVC Pro HD and HDV files direct to drive for either MAC or PC.
  • Down converts from HD D5 or DVCPro HD to digital betacam OR 8-bit uncompressed NTSC to drive from either 1080/24p or 1080i.

  • Cross converts between HD D5 and DVCPro HD
